Left to right of photo are sisters Evangelina Rivera and Ofelia Rivera (photo donor, last name later Esparza) wearing white dresses and veils and are holding their offerings of flowers to the Virgin Mary. This is a special devotion that honors the Virgin Mary every May. The photo was taken at their house in the Belvedere area of East Los Angeles.
