Rose was born in Lisandes, N.Y., in 1837 and died in Concord, Calif., in 1921. Articles are, from upper left, sewing kit, powder flask, cartridge belt for old-style paper cartridges and from lower left, whiskey flask, hand-forged tomahawk and knife bearing inscription, 'Co.
