Description
Photograph of an exterior view of the library building at Stanford University following the 1906 earthquake, Palo Alto, 1906. The stone dome with glass top appears to be intact on the left. The dome is supported by the bare, metal frame that remains below. The stone walls of the building that extends to the right are still upright, but crumbling to the grass yard in front and on the right. Short trees stand on the front edge of the yard along the far side of the dirt yard that lies in the foreground.
