Made accessible through a grant from the John Randolph Haynes and Dora Haynes Foundation and Photo Friends.
Photograph was edited for publication purposes. Photograph article dated December 1, 1960 partially reads, "It's a club devoted to better public speaking. It's called the Senators and, under the sponsorship of the North Hollywood Rotary club...'They're gentlemen with common sense,' said Robert Munger, the Rotarian who acts as the group's mentor. 'They know that they have to carve their own niche in life, that they have to better themselves in order to better their world. So they're learning how to talk in front of large groups of people.'" The photograph shows Senators member Steve Lepisto showing off the emblem on the blue wool coat worn as a badge of honor by members of the club, to Terry Hill, a club applicant.
