Photo--black and white: The east side of North Main Street at about the 100 block . A fire at the K.O. Edgeworth & Co. Real Estate Brokers building on Main Street Sebastopol. Circa 1900. Second image has handwritten note identifying the Janssen's Hotel built 1880 and owned by Mrs. A. Janssen, sold to Mr. William Dowd of Placer County in 1900. Dowd changed the name of the hotel to the United States Hotel. The hotel was destroyed by fire in the early 1920's.
