Original print is of inferior quality. The main office for the Valley Times was located at 11109 Magnolia Blvd.; it has since been demolished. Photograph caption dated May 16, 1962 reads, "Los Angeles City Councilman John S. Gibson Jr. and Joan Flores, Los Angeles, bring petitions for reapportionment of the State Senate to the Valley Times TODAY. Bus at curb is part of a caravan traveling across the Valley gathering signatures for initiative measure to reapportion Senate by giving more votes to urban counties. If more than 400,000 persons sign petitions, Californians will vote on measure in November."
