V1p384a In PHOTO ALBUM-VAULT: ** fc917.9461 A3, Vol. I, page 384 top. This photograph is contained in one of two volumes by Dobbin titled "Album of San Francisco." Text written under photo: "'The Casino' in Golden Gate Park 1886. This building was, about 1895, moved from the Park to 24 Avenue and Fulton St. where it was opened by Leonhardt as a roadside house-see page 420." Written above: "Conducted under lease by the Kehrlines [sic, Krelings] of Tivoli Opera House." Photo shows the casino set back behind trees and bushes (Left). A gazebo is off to the right, while one of the park's wide boulevards can be seen in the foreground. "Restaurant" sign across tower in the center of the casino.
