Scrapbook of the Monterey Peninsula Junior Japanese American Citizens League. Presented as a gift and dedicated to the graduating members of the Junior JACL, class of 1965. Contains black and white and color photographs of members at various meetings and social activities, including dances, dinners, picnics, and at the beach. Group outings to Big Sur, Bolado Park, and the Dodge Ridge Ski Area are also documented. Additional contents include a roll call of members; a program for the Northern California - Western Nevada District Council Second Quarterly Banquet; a program for the Monterey Peninsula JACL 1967 installation dinner; an invitation to the JACL President's Party; tickets to "Escape to Monterey," an event organized by the Junior JACL; and newspaper clippings recognizing the achievements of Junior JACL members. The Monterey Peninsula Japanese American Citizens League Collection features the records of the Monterey Peninsula chapter of the Japanese American Citizens League, including correspondence, meeting minutes, scrapbooks, and event planning materials. It also includes materials documenting the history of Japanese Americans in Monterey and WWII incarceration camps.
