Description
The Marin County Free Library Bookmobile, at the Marshall School, 1948. Librarian Virginia Keating originated bookmobile service with community and school stops, on September 30, 1948. In 1955, nearly 50,000 books were circulated via the bookmobile. In 1956, an additional bookmobile was added to serve growing demand.
