Description
One of two stūpas enclosed by retaining walls. This is the reconstructed base and lower part of dome. The diameter is 6 meters. It is partially covered in granite stone. Built on a raised platform, paved with stone slabs and unlike the typical Theravāda-type stūpas, it is considered to be the result of Mahāyana influence. It is located between the main stairway on the eastern slope and Kaludiya Pokuna (Lake).
