Description
The photo caption printed in the Sacramento Bee on June 22, 1967 states: "Swimmers and sun bathers from California and Nevada yesterday crowded onto the beach at San Harbor State Park on Lake Tahoe's north shore. The 110-acre park was granted to Nevada on Monday by District Court Judge Grant Bowen. The property, owned by George Whittell of Woodside, San Mateo County, had been leased by Nevada prior to Bowen's decision. Eventually, Nevada hopes to create a 9,789-acre state park in the area."
