Photograph caption dated October 14, 1986 reads, "It was a beautiful day when Rodney Brown, parked his Dodge sedan on the edge of Pacific Coast Highway at Sunset Boulevard and got out to enjoy his coffee. But suddenly, the roadside turned into a motor hell. A passing vehicle vegetable truck clipped Brown's car, and in an effort to avoid this collision, a second car swerved widely, striking a pickup conversion that slammed into a parked van."
