Handwritten on verso: "Lawndale bunch on the beach after walking from home. 1913" The group is pictured resting on the steps, some with their feet in the sand. This CyKo Real Photo Postcard has been trimmed down to 2.75 x 4 size. A newspaper clipping accompanying the photographs in the collection may identify the people in the 'Lawndale bunch': "A great number of Lawndale people spent the Fourth at Redondo. Among those who were there were: Mr. and Mrs. Wheeling and children, Mrs. Nelson, Mrs. Mathews, Chas. Ditchen and family, Mrs. Erskeen, Mrs. Case and granddaughter, Miss Ethel, Misses Helen Buss, Nellie Dickey, Lillie Francisco, Raymond Townsend, Glenn Dickey, Mrs. Mary Speakman, F. E. Speakman and family, J. Bessom and wife.
