Description
Brian Tripp is a well known Karuk artist whose work has been featured throughout the United States and abroad. A traditional dancer and singer, he is actively involved in the ceremonies of northwest California and is deeply committed to Native American sovereignty and to the struggle this involves. On this tape, the artist discusses himself and his work as a tribal person without a homeland, focusing on the Native American cultural influence on his art.
