Photograph caption reads: "Allen Rich, TV editor of the Valley Times, receives a certificate of membership in the Gold Pennant Order of Good Cheer, oldest fraternal society in North America. The order was founded in 1606 at Port Royal, Nova Scotia, and has been perpetuated by fun-loving Nova Scotians. Memberships are awarded to outstanding connoisseurs of fine food and beverage by Gold Pennant, which is made at Port Royal". Photograph dated: Jan. 20, 1964.
