Photograph caption dated October 3, 1961 reads, "Mrs. Mildred Hudelson, 7321 Valmont St., Tujunga, took an oath of office Monday from Postal Inspector S. H. Jensen and became postmaster of the North Valley community. The ceremonies were held at the Tujunga station, 10105 Commerce Ave. Her job as boss of 29 postal employes [sic] is her first with the post office department, but not with the federal government. Formerly employed by the State Department of Motor Vehicles and Employment, she was campaign manager in 1952 for Assemblyman Tom Bane in his first and successful drive for the 42nd District seat."
