Photograph of San Francisco earthquake damage, showing large cracks in the street exposing a water main, 1906. The street has cracked and sunk in to the foreground exposing an open water main on the left. People walk and drive horse-drawn carriages along the more even-set part of the road at center. Little damage can be seen in the buildings which line the street into the background.
