Description
Photograph of the arched entryway to the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum with the Olympic flame and flags flying, 1932. A series of archways forms the end of the stadium. At the center of the arches is a large rectangular section topped with a torch to hold the Olympic flame. A line of flags adorned with the Olympic rings runs along the top of the peristyle, and below them, banners mark each Olympics dating from 1896. The bleaches are full of people at right, but are almost empty at left. Several people are making their way through the arches at center.
