Photograph of an exterior view of the athenaeum at the California Institute of Technology in Pasadena, ca.1930. The two-story athenaeum is at right and has light-colored walls with a terracotta tile roof. A covered colonnade runs along the front of the building and intersects another covered walkway at center. The openings between the columns in the colonnades are arch-shaped. Several trees and bushes can be seen in a courtyard in the foreground. A tall building can be seen in the background at left.
