Description
Photograph of the Pocoma Dam in San Fernando, [s.d.]. The dam, constructed in 1896 according to C.E. Hausou, is pictured moving diagonally towards the hills in the background from the left side of the image. At the center of the short stone bulwark of the dam, a round well protrudes. This was used when the creek was not suffcient. The mass of the water can be seen at left, while to the right, water cascades over the dam down through rocks and other debris when it is fairly dry. Picture file card lists Hausou as the surveyor for County Flood Control.
