Description
Mrs. Earl Gardner, right, tells her husband "Not much left" as the Red Cross relief worker, Frances Palmer, left, tabulates the needs of victims of the Topanga Canyon fire. The trio are shown here on November 15, 1948, in what was the library of the Gardner residence. The Red Cross will reconstruct many of the homes lost in the blaze.
