François Marie Arouet Voltaire, letter, 1750 August 20, Potsdam, Brandenburg, Prussia, to Jeanne Antoinette Le Normant d'Etoiles (née Poisson) (Marquise de pompadour). "Dans ces lieux jadis peu connus, beaus lieux aujourd'hui devenus dignes d'éternelle mémoire, au favori de la victoire..." -- first line. Includes two mixed poems "à madame de Pompadour" (Dans ces lieux jadis peu connus..., 1750) & "à la même" (De deux rois qu'il faut adorer..., 1750).
