An aerial view of the Ford assembly plant completed in 1955. Covered 32 acres, employed 2300 workers. Closed in 1984. Converted and reopened as the "Great Mall of the Bay Area" in 1994.

image/jpeg2000 Master images scanned at 300 dpi and scaled to 6000 pixels on the longest side. Bit depth: grayscale at 8-bit; color at 24-bit. Images compressed to 800 pixels across the long dimension and to JPEG format. Scanning outsourced to Luna Imaging Inc. as part of an LSTA Grant funded by the California State Library in 2003-2004. Scanning hardware is unknown.
