Kenneth Hopper writes Mr. B. Inoue, of Sumitomo Rubber Industries, Ltd., saying that he was saddened to learn about Mr. Kato's death. Hopper shares that after an introduction by Dr. Drucker, he learned that Mr. Kato had served an apprenticeship for Metropolitan Vickers like Hopper. Hopper says Mr. Kato was the one who introduced him to Mr. Polkinghorn. He mentions that Mr. Y. Tsukakoshi of JIVTA was kind enough to interview Mr. Kato for him and that Inoue should have received an article from "Supervisory Management" that is written for foremen. In the postscript, Hopper adds that he was told that there are a quarter of a million pages of Civil Communications Section (CCS) documents in the national archives. Hopper includes questions for Inoue. The letter contains original handwritten notes.
