The film highlights opening day ceremonies, featuring dignitaries, several speeches, and locomotives on display. In the background is the ribbon cutting ceremony for the museum, and portions of a pageant shown. The film concludes with a number of shots of the SP 4449 returning to Portland, Oregon.
