Description
Photograph of the courtyard at the Mission Los Angeles, ca.1890. The first part of the structure to be built, the patio, is pictured, of which both the walls and the roof show signs of deterioration. An open door is visible at center, to the left of which a stack of eight chairs is standing. Windows are visible to either side of the door. The scalloped wall of a brick building can be seen over the mission's single story as well as the spire of what appears to be a type of pagoda, just visible behind the tree that stands at center.
