Description
An unnamed woman and her granddaughter stand in the backyard after a piano recital. "May '75" is written on the back of the photograph. "Wendy in her backyard, after the piano recital. She does pretty well on piano. Note my daughter-in-law's rose garden. Amazing what can be grown in the terrible alkaline dobi [sic] soil in El Centro - 90 ft below sea level. Above Wendy's head is Bongamilla [sic] vine. Behind the fence is Brazilian pepper trees. Lot of care is shown here; not all trees and gardens look like this, in this area. P.S., Wendy is 13 yrs. and me - keep a secret? (62)" is written on the back of the photograph.
