A bust-length studio portrait of Union Captain Levi (referred to here as "Lee") S. Graybill turned slightly to the left. Graybill has a neatly trimmed mustache and patch of hair below his lower lip. "Bendann" is printed in the lower left corner, and "Baltimore" in the lower right. Graybill's name is written in ms on the verso, above a shield and helmet, with a ribbon reading "Bendann Bros. ; 207 Baltimore St." There is a green and white three cent stamp with a portrait of George Washington attached at an angle on the verso.
