To his right, three other men are seen looking downwards. The men's clothes are dirty, and one appears to be gripping a tool in his hand. Behind the men, dirt and debris are visible to the edge of the road. Two automobiles are parked on the near side of the road near a large pole, and several more are seen across the street near a large tree and the factory. In the background at center, the factory is composed of a large building with a sloped roof. In the background, a cylindrical component of the building is barely visible. To the left, the silhouette of a smokestack can be seen. Fog or smoke obscures the rest of the image in the background.
