Description
Republican mural and graffiti, Beechmount Avenue, West Belfast, 2002. Mural expressing solidarity with Hunger Strikers in Turkey protesting against prison conditions. Graffiti 'Honour Ireland's Dead Wear an Easter Lily', painted in green, white and gold, refers to Republican custom of wearing badge or sticker of an Irish lily to commemorate Easter Rising of 1916 and Irish Republican dead.
