Photograph caption dated November 24, 1953 reads "Mr. Tuffy's Meats, 4834 Lankershim Blvd., North Hollywood, celebrated their grand opening Thursday. All meats for sale are Kansas grown, coming in direct by refrigerated truck. Nearly 20,000 pounds were trucked in for the initial shipment in this fashion, according to Eddie Dupuy, owner."
