Photograph caption dated March 4, 1957 reads, "One of newest fleet-based carrier planes is F-3H2N Demon flown by Lt. Thomas S. Rigers of Washington D.C. in victory pass after shooting down drone plane. Black smoke rising from desert floor is from crashed drone. Victory pass is pilot's reward for job 'well done.' Pilots agree that downing propeller-driven planes. Demon carries Sidewinder and can fire it at 50,000 feet."; See images #00117964 through #00117966 for all photos in this series.
