Plaques commemorating 1st victim of the Troubles' and local Republican dead: 'This memorable plaque is dedicated to the 1st victim of the present Troubles Sammy McLarnon RIP who was brutally murdered in his own home at 37 Herbert St by the RUC on 15th Aug 1969'; plaques to: David McAuley, Joseph Campbell, Joseph McComiskey, Bernard Fox, Charles McCann, Seamus Cassidy, Trevor McKibbin, James McDade, Gerard McDade, James Reid, Terry Toolan, Brian Smyth, Paddy McAdorey, Denis Brown, Jim Mulvenna, Jackie Mailey, Frankie Donnelly, Laurence Montgomery; 'Believe that we too love freedom and desire it.
