Photograph caption dated August 27, 1963 reads, "Mrs. Joan Hollingsworth, Van Nuys, receives a $50 nursery education scholarship from William J. McNelis, president of Valley College. With Mrs. Hollingsworth are her two children, Judy and David. Mrs. Hollingsworth, an evening school student, was named outstanding nursery education student of the year from among 100 students at Valley College. The award was sponsored by Valley private nursery school administrators. Mrs. Hollingsworth teaches at The Country Schools, 5243 Laurel Canyon Blvd., North Hollywood."
