Photograph caption dated January 28, 1959 reads "Contributions from Valley residents in 10th annual March of Dimes doorbell campaign is handed to North Hollywood police officer R. B. Nies by volunteers, from left, Mmes. John Wagenbach, Southwest Valley area chairman; Leonard South and Burton Jay, North Hollywood co-chairmen. An estimated $13,000 was tabulated last night in North Hollywood area, with workers still counting and more Valley figures to come."
