Capt. Jack Sperow watches as Firemen Bill Turnham and Tom Johnson scrub dirty hoses used at the fire. This is one of the many tasks performed by fire fighters after a blaze. Their day is long and filled with a lot of work and many hazards. They can't sleep until 8 p.m. Photo dated: August 8, 1964.
