Photograph caption dated March 18, 1960 reads, "'More leisure for housewives' is the way Butler Bros., 6609 Van Nuys Blvd., Van Nuys, describes the 400-car, two-mile trainload of labor-saving appliances which arrived at the Valley headquarters this week. Huge shipment comprises 22,000 refrigerators, freezers, TV sets, dishwashers and other appliances to ease the household task. Left to right above, Gordon Axelson, personnel manager; William Charpentier, merchandise manager, and Merle Berg, major appliance manager, all of Butler Bros., shown unloading General Electric equipment arriving from G.E. Kentucky factory."
