Photograph snipe dated March 4, 1942 reads, "This is the Eastern-Columbia height-limit store at Ninth & Broadway, which along with 8 Branch Stores will celebrate '50 Years of Progress' with big Anniversary Sales." Photograph caption dated February 4, 1957 reads, "Eastern-Columbia, Broadway at Ninth. Retiring after 65 years - all but the mezzanine floor will be leaded to other business concerns."
