Photograph article dated March 18, 1963 reads, "'Mommie is at her store sleeping.' That's what Jan and Joyce Wexler told Van Nuys officers Friday after the two little girls were discovered wandering along Ventura Blvd. in Sherman Oaks with their bicycle and red wagon. It took a long time to learn who Mommie was, but when Mrs. Harry Wexler returned home last night to discover her children and their baby sitter gone, she did little sleeping. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Wexler, 4259 Sherman Oaks Ave., arrived at Los Angeles International Airport from a vacation in Las Vegas and called home. There was no answer. They called police." Pictures are Joyce Wexler, 2, left, and Jan, 4, entertaining officer Ronald Traurig.
