Photograph of a street lined with automobiles in Montrose, 1924. The wide dirt street is at center and disappears into the distance at center. It is lined with low shops and concrete sidewalks, and rows of early-model automobiles are parked on both sides. There are utility poles running parallel to the street at left, and a range of tall mountains is visible in the far distance.
Legible signs include, from left to right, "Bank", "Hotel Montrose", "Stephen [?] Meyers Real Estate Loans Insurance Room 1", "Montrose Hardware", "Store For Men Cleaning Pressing", "Soda Drugs Cigars", "Magazines Candy", "Prescriptions", and "Films 10 hr.".
