Description
A group of women on horseback at Circle V Ranch in Fairfax, circa 1950. These women may have been part of an all-women group which existed at this time called "Mounted Moms of Marin" or "Mounted Moms of Marin County." West of Fairfax, the Circle V Ranch was owned by the Smith brothers, and sometimes called the Smith Brothers Ranch. Rodeos were sponsored by the Kiwanis Club, and were held there from the late 1940's until the 1970's. This facility is currently the Baywood Equestrian Center.
