Photograph caption dated February 6, 1962 reads, "Bicycle safety is the object of the Burbank Safety Council-Optimist Club Bicycle Safety Program. Every elementary school in the Burbank-Magnolia Park area will host inspectors who will check bikes and give safety stickers to the owners whose vehicles pass inspection. Participants in the program at Monterey School are, front, Officer Robert F. Ptack, Roger Johnson, 10, and Eugene Mauney, Magnolia Park safety chairman. In back are Herman L. Klahr, Burbank Optimist Club president; Albert Ruiz, 9, and Bill Hensley, Burbank safety chairman."
