Description: Construction of the Sainte Claire Hotel. Building materials are stacked along San Carlos Street and First Street. There is scaffolding reaching to the sixth floor. Glass has not yet been installed in the windows. T. S. Montgomery financed the project; the hotel was designed by the San Francisco architectural firm of Weeks and Day.
