Photograph of Avalon Harbor on Santa Catalina Island showing the steamer "Hermosa", ca.1890. The steamer is on the left side of the image and has two levels above the waterline. There are two flags on tall masts, one of which bears the name of the boat. There is also an American flag on the stern and another flag on the bow.. There are several other small boats on the water in front of and to the right of the "Hermosa" two of these boats have people in them. Parts of the island are visible in the background, rising steeply out of the water.
