Description
A view looking across hilly terrain, largely denuded of trees and bushes. In the foreground of the image are railroad tracks, while in the center, a dead horse lies in the middle of a road. In the background, at the top of the hill, are earthworks, a man standing on top. Running down the hill toward the road are trenches and chevaux-de-frise.
Does not appear in the Huntington's copy of Barnard's Photographic views of Sherman's campaign.
