Description
Color. Earlier modifications had removed a few of the plaster ceiling rosettes, possibly to allow circus performers to descend into the auditorium through the ceiling or additional sound equipment to be lowered. Removable wooden rosettes were laid over the opening. So contractors lined these openings with sheet metal collars and raised steel beams one at a time through the opening to strengthen the ceiling.
