The woman wears a dark colored hat and a white dress, the girl wears also a white dress. The man wears a hat and a dark colored suit and holds a stick in his hands. Behind them the sea. Four large ships with high masts and chimneys in the background. Behind them mountains. Imprinted on the image: "1503." Cf. photo no. 1501 and no. 1502. -- As picture no. 1502 which shows several large ships in the harbor of Simonstown during war time and picture no. 1501 which also shows the same kinds of ships near the harbor this picture was probably also taken during the First World War as the kinds of big ships might indicate. It might have also been taken during the Second South African War.
