Description
Student actors perform on a makeshift stage with a white canopy in Blanchard Park on Wash Day, 1901. A tent set off to one side likely serves as a dressing room. A group of actors in dark robes are gathered around a man in tights seated on a dais. In center of the stage an actor wearing a white hood bends down to get something out of a suitcase that has "PREXY - Put Me Off In HADES" written across the front. In the background, a group of similarly dressed actors are seated on the ground.
