Photograph of a view of Batter Street, showing earthquake damage, San Francisco, [s.d.]. The street has been transformed into a sea of fallen bricks and wooden debris. Nothing stands in the foreground, but the few remaining walls of a large buildings with arched windows still stand in the background on the right. More heavily damaged buildings can be seen on either side of the street further down.
