Description
The Forbes Adobe exterior wall. Cut out in the adobe is a door and six windows. The windows are framed with wood and planks are visible in the midsection of the adobe. Only three walls of the building remain and the rest of the building is deteriorated. The adobe was built by James Alexander Forbes near the town of Milpitas possibly around the 1830s, and is reported to have been the first two story structure built in Santa Clara County.
